Lucky me

I don't normally blog about work but due to work changes I'm looking for a new job. Steve is has been great helping me with my CV. I'm applying for a few jobs in London and he has volunteered to do the cooking and week day shopping. What a sweetie!!!(in a macho way obviously). Ruthie has been brilliant as well - even offering to lend me some smart clothes if I get to interview. I'm a lucky girl.

Got The Secret out of the library - that has been a lot of ho hah about this. I think it is about putting out positive thoughts or something. Anyway wish me luck with my job hunt.

Good luck with the job hunt Gina! I would find it very hard to commute to London every day, I need a career with flexible working hours. That's just my personal preference!

Best of luck, I'll be interested to see how you get on.

Good luck with the job hunting - they'd be lucky to have you!

p.s. dear all, I can be a bitch at times, but I'd just like to clarify that this wasn't one of those times!!! I wasn't saying Gina was not a smart and snazzy dresser!!!

Ruthie - I know you didn't mean it that way!

Hannah - how do you know that I won't be working flexible hours?

Best of luck to you.

Good question

I just naturally assume that people working in London do so full time with a long commute. I've never desired going to "the smoke". I guess what I mean is that I don't want to work where I need to have a long train journey!

Hannah - it's true, commuting is hard work, but it's amazing how quickly you get used to it... although you are a lot more tired than normal!

And although my hours are pretty flexible, I'd love them to be more so! However, I get to live in a nice house, in a nice area, and have a relatively "comfortable" lifestyle, so therefore it's a pretty good compromise in my eyes.

Now come on Ruthie, if your blog is to be believed (and I take it as gospel) you come very close to killing on average 4.6 fellow commuters per month (I worked it out)

Gina As he's volunteered, If I get the shopping list over before noon can I have chilli with a jacket today please? I generally like to eat about 7ish

I used to enjoy commuting into London, I was always late though as the office was in St Albans.
