Things to remember
When I get in from work I get going. Dinner on, kettle on - the usual stuff. However it would help if I remember to put the hob on and when the kettle has boiled to pour the water in to the cup. I had thought I had done that and did other little chores whilst I thought the tea was brewing.

Along the same lines my husband and I very often will turn on the kettle purely by habit, then neither of us will remember doing it, thus we are suprised when it comes to a boil.
