I had a dental check up this morning. I had a little filling (I call little fillings the ones where you don't have to have an injection) and a teeth clean. It came to £43.40, which isn't bad I suppose but doesn't feel very NHS.
When I left the Dentists it was bucketing down with rain. All this rain is getting weird.
Might be worth seeing if you can get on Denplan.
ReplyDeleteFeels like you're spreading the cost over the year

Well hopefully 43 quid will be my yearly dentist bill -how much is denplan and does it cover much?
ReplyDeleteMy filling was £75 but it was a white one and I did have an anaesthetic. I have NHS too and the have a new tiered system of paying where it's £43.40 or whatever and you can have a few fillings for the same price. Denplan is probably good if you have to have work done regularly.
ReplyDeletei pay £8 a month. Depending on the plan you choose, it can cover check ups, scaling/polishing/hygiene treatment, xrays, gum treatment, crowns/bridges/dentures/root fillings. It can also cover you if you need emergency treatment home or abroad.
ReplyDeleteHannah's right, if you haven't got that much to do, it's not that good - I end up paying more than I would if I just went for 6 month check ups - I just prefer paying more and knowing I'm not going to get stuck with a whopping great bill one time!
